Hancocks, Howick

Hancocks
87 Picton Street
Howick

Large Flat White: $4.30

This café, based on the old Ronnie’s at the Botany Town Centre, is raved about and it has a great location on the Howick main street.

Coffee: Pretty ordinary. One of those coffees that’s better than a nescafe but loses it’s punch the second you put the lid on the cup. (2/5)

Milk: Milk is OK, some hard, airy foam on top, but the taste is a little overdone – comes off a tad creamy. (3/5)

Presentation: Decent cup and lid combo, though the plastic lid is a bit cheap looking. (2.5/3)

Verdict: It just goes to show that just because people rave about the place, doesn’t make the coffee great. The food in there looks affordable and fantastic though, but this is not a food blog.

Overall rating: 7.5/13. Not bad for Howick but has a lot of room for improvement.

  1. The Berry smoothie is also rubbish. Overpriced, undersized & runny
